I've had this CD for a while now, was just listening to it AGAIN and figured why not tell everyone on the Polk site about it!
Go to Telarc's website and punch in Max Reger.
This CD is really nice to listen to. If you like early 1900's classical you'll like this. Very elegant but also forceful, especially with the horns in parts, all in the same song.
It's recorded using DSD (Direct Steam Digital). Some type of recording machine used in the mastering session which is a Sony/Philips creation.
Give it a listen!!
