Tangible difference in Bi-wire vs using jumpers on SDA SRS (originals)?

So I have been upgrading some of my cables in my system, I primarily use AudioQuest all the way around. I have been using a pair of AQ Type 4 regular speaker cables (10 foot pair) with the stock Polk jumpers. Driving them with an ADCOM GFA555 II. Been pleased with the sonic quality but I have toyed around with Bi-wiring for several years... just never got the real urge to transition to that setup. So a few weeks back I purchased a pair of AQ Rocket 33 Bi-wire cables... I changed the cables out yesterday and removed the jumpers... I guess I really had no idea what to expect as I have reviewed many threads on CP.. it appears that opinions on this subject vary greatly, like any other aspect of personal audio taste.

What have you all experienced? Positive, negative results? I cant say I don't like the sound...IMO it just doesn't seem as open of a soundstage as before. I double checked all my connections and polarity.. SDA cable.. etc. Is this a common result? Meaning not bad, just different sound? I considered a couple years back Bi-amping, but that is a whole nother thread with its own pros and cons... mainly cons if you do not know how to operate electronic crossovers correctly. I used to work with pro audio gear.. and there is a fine science in setting crossovers. I figured my money would be better spent later on having my passive crossovers rebuilt by VR3.

Any opinions for or against one way or the other? Thanks for your thoughts.

oh boy Denzel... Denzel...Denzel you sure know how to open a can of worms for me.

I have been using AQ type4's no thrills in my 2channel room/setup an I use AQ Rocket33's in my HT set-up with my RTiA7's. now my Rocket 33's replace my homemade special's and so did my type 4's. love the sound from my PSB's using Type 4's and really thought my Rocket 33's sounded pretty good in my HT set-up but I don't have a lot to compare them to. I don't get to use my HT set-up for much hardly at all but I got 2 weeks off for shut-down in july I maybe have to switch them out and try some type 4's in my HT setup.

now Dskip will drive me crazy if I don't switch them out with Douglass Alpha bi-wires....so I guess the Texas boy's are going to win out :)

I don't think I'm helping you with your set-up except to say I think there both pretty good for what I've used them for. hope others here can add more to it then I can. but its your ear's and you know what you like & don't so the 33's maybe not be for you or your set-up.

I bi-wire my SDA with 2 pair of MONSTER THX1000, same for interconnect (cut end and ad SPEAKON connector)... Not enough audiophile to hear any difference despite my big hear, just for the look! (used before 12gauge interconnector also, not the tinny polk)

If the cables are brand new, they need to burn in. If they are used, then they suck and you need to buy MIT cables.

They are new... so I will allow some burn in time. and ohhhh Jesse, I wish was independently wealthy to get a nice set of MIT's...:) What do you suggest on burn-in... 50 hrs+? Thanks all for the feedback.
