    The short answer is no.

The long answer is still no. Curious as to why you would even think it's a good idea though. Seems to me the 15's would be the better choice if looking for passive.

i know the 15's r better, i have them. but i have a pair of 25's that i had for YEARS. with all kinds of mods going around i just thought why not ask cant hurt. my 15's r modded love those for music only. just wanted to do some ht modding with the 25's without ajusting that dam vol knob fot the sub.

You touched on one of my own aggravations with powered towers and subwoofers. Adjusting the darn volume level...constantly. Some might suggest if your doing that, the sub and speakers aren't integrated well enough, set up properly.

I always found that on different material, the sound was either too much or too little on either side of the spectrum depending on what your playing, thus the constant fiddling. My own personal solution was to dump the subwoofer and get bigger towers that can play low, real low. Worked out well for me.
