It's an addiction much like anything else. I remember seeing one collection that was so large that I calculated the guy would have to live to 250 years and listen 10-12 hours a day every day with no repetition in order to play it all!
Of course if he turned that collection into a library rather than one for his personal use, then we could view it as less crazy!
I'm with Randy, they need a blessing so that they stay on this side of madness. lol

When my Dad passed away I inherited his collection of 78rpm Jazz records. Most are in near perfect condition. I think he had every Art Tatum record ever made.
But I no longer have a 78rpm player. Unfortunately I had my Rek-O-Kut LP-743 mono turntable stolen out of my garage back in the 1970s and never bothered to replace it.
