Hey guys:
Was a nice shopping day for me yesterday. After having problems yet again with the mighty mustang (dead starter), I had to do something about my vehicle situation, in terms of reliability and overall comfort in driving in stop and go highway **** along with all the snow we've been getting over the last 2 winters.
I called a former girlfriend and still good friend who just so happens to be a finance manager at a Ford dealership in Columbia MD.
To make a long story short, I have my new (used with 18500 miles) 2003 Ford Explorer XLT that is loaded to the gills with almost everything. V8, leather, 17" rims, 4x4, 6 disc premium sound, fold down 3rd row seat, blah blah blah blah blah...but the funniest thing is the DVD player with fold down screen for the people in the back seat.
Brand new last year, this thing MSRPed for $41,000. The used car lot price was $30,000. She got it to me for $23,000, PLUS the best used car loan rate at 6%. It really helps to have someone on the inside that loves you,
This thing is the Pimp Truck!!! Pics will be on the way in a little while.
So guys, the Polk get together later this year at Troys that we've been discussing...you can count me in now and I'll shuttle anyone else that wants to go.
