speaker cables (Cardas Hexlink 5C)

Just checking to see if anyone can give me an idea of the value/worth of a pair of these. They belong to an old friend and he said he's coming up with a crazy "bro price" on them for me. They are 8.5 ft long, (so I will have to swap place with my Onk and Parasound to make them work) as I really need 10.5 feet to replace the Monster cables I have now. The ends are spade connectors and the cables are in real nice shape. Just not sure what a great price will be and hoping some of my Polk pros/bros will either set me straight on a great price or steer me clear if these are no good. Thanks

The set is only 8.5 ft long, so no go for the bedroom, but I'll use them on my RT 2000i's that are powered by an Acurus 125x5 (I know, not much juice there, but it works) and see if that improves any?? I'll be looking for a 10.5 ft pair for the 705's and I have a little over a month to get that done.
