My old Sansa mp3 player operated by a single AAA battery has bit the dust. Looking for a replacement that has decent sound but not looking to spend more than $50 or so. I mainly use the thing when cutting grass. You can find many on Amazon but I really don't know the difference between a clip, zip, etc.

Honestly just look at ebay for a older ipod classic or one of the newer models. Can probably snag one of those for that."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Would one that plays more than just mp3 formats be the way to go? I doubt I would hear any difference cutting the grass but what if I plugged it into my car or a speaker dock? I'm guessing at my price point it probably doesn't matter much?Yep, my name really is Bob.

If you are plugged into the Apple "eco-system" (i.e. buy all your music from iTunes) I'd say get an older model iPod model. If you are not tied to Apple, just get a 4GB or 8GB Sansa Clip+ along with a microSD card for plenty of extra storage space. I've had my Clip+ for years (maybe 3-4 years?) and it still works great. My HT

Yep, the Sansa Clip+ is what I decided on. My wife will be happy when it arrives so I can stop swiping her player.Yep, my name really is Bob.
