Hey rotwood just wanted to check with you to see if you somehow managed to repair your water damaged cabinets.

I just got myself a set of SRT speakers with one cabinet being damaged by water as well.

Wanted to ckeck with polkies and find a right solution on how to fix a cabinet where it will look brand new again.

Lastly i have hard time understanding how those speakers can sound good if the cabinets are not fully sealed (due to MDF swelling and water damage) Correct me here if i am wrong. I am pretty new to the SRT as well. Wanted to get experts advise.mq60qtoc13a6.jpg

Once MDF swells from water it's generally game over. If you can get the seam to close using clamps then it's repairable. If it doesn't close under clamping you are SOL.

The base section is ported at the bottom.
