Early Father's day present

Sometimes things fall in your lap. I was lucky enough to acquire LS90 speakers today only 10 miles away. I have always wanted to try these. They were on my short list of Polk speakers I wanted. When I looked up information on the LS90's on the Polk site, it stated they only came in black and a darker wood color. The set I bought was in oak. How many years did Polk make this set and are these later versions due to the fact they are in oak. So far I am pleased with the sound of them. I got them at a very
good price under two hundred dollars and after cleaning them up they are in excellent condition. I hope we all get something
good for Father's day. I know I did.
Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,

    Oak must be rare as most I have heard were rosewood. Nice speakers, I had a church use them for their organ speakers while their pipe organ was going through a $75k digitize/rebuild. Many in the congregation never knew the difference.

    Mine are black, looked forever for oak to match my 50's but they are rare.

    I never knew they made oak LS90's. They are good looking especially with the fronts being black. It's a nice contrast.

    A few members had asked me to post a picture of the LS90's, I finally got around to it. They are the oak version sitting next to
    Monitor 12 series 2's and ADS L810's. Dose anyone know if the oak version was done later in the run, since the Polk site only shows the speakers in black and a dark finish?

    I hope to be working on a dedicated music room in the near future. The speakers you see are in a house I am restoring. It has in
