I have two CD players that are acting up on me, a Sony ES87 model and Luxman CD 117 player. The sony's carasel keeps
spinning around while the Luxman won't recognize the CD. Who should I send these two to get serviced. When they are in working order they are excellent CD players. Anyone close to Pennsylvania?

The Luxman is worth fixing, but the Sony is not. The Luxman either has a bad optical pick up or a bad logic board. Try the pick up first.

Since you asked I live about 46 miles from Jessup.

I'm sure you can find a decent CD player cheap. I picked up a Pioneer DVD-45A w/ remote for a friend the other day for $20. (Thrift store)
It plays SACD's and that's what he was interested in and yes it works. They had a Rotel there for $90 not sure of the model # or if it had a remote.
