How can I equalize my speaker volume?

I've got a set of speakers hooked up to my TV, Apple TV, Wii, etc. For some reason the TV volume is super quiet and and the rest are ridiculously loud. Switching between the devices scares the crap outta me! Is there any way to equalize the volumes?

    Chances are, you have the output volume of your TV set to variable while the rest of the devices are set to static. If you go into the settings on your TV, under Audio, you will probably see an Output Volume setting or something of that nature. Change it so that it is not set to variable. That *should* fix it.
