...these showed up at my house.

Can I keep them?

Sorry for the horrible cellphone picture and I left it super sized so you can see detail.

They are in good shape. Like I said on the voicemail, the speaker grilles need to be put together.

I'll plug them into something and make sure they function properly later tonight. Today is my dad's B-Day and I have to get to festivities.

For everyone else, they are Sony SS-M3's. I didn't realize that these were what Carl was picking up. Thought I'd share. For those that don't know, these aren't really "rare birds" but they aren't exactly growing on trees either. But, they are probably about as good as Sony products get that aren't the Japanese market only stuff. These are "giant killers" in that they they punch well above their weight class. Last time I heard a set of these, they were on some NAD gear and for probably about $500-$600 for the integrated and the speakers on the used market, they did serve to impress.

If Carl ends up leaving these here until PF, y'all might get a treat 'cause I have a NAD C370 with A and B outputs. So I can hook up the KEF iQ9's on one set and the SS-M3's on the other.

Beautiful and great sounding speakers John! Congrats! Did carl get a pair of these too? He has a pair of SS-M7ES's he got from Ed. Ed had them set up with some nice gear and a pair of nht subs.

These aren't mine, they are Carl's. I just picked them up for him.

I have more than enough speakers of my own.

    Should probably unload a few.

    Thanks John!

I appreciate you taking the time to pick these up for me. I was supposed to pick these up in Wilmington, DE when I was out there several weeks ago. The seller had to go out of town so I had a dilemma. Thanks for your help to get these for me. I will pick them up at your house during Polkfest. Let me know what you think of the sound.

Hey Ed Savinon (SRT King), you seeing this??

I have a pair of those m-3s. Very nice sounding speakers, are much nicer sounding than their price point.

I bit carl on the neck. I also scratched him just to make sure he would be completely converted.

Congrats on finding the m3's. I got bit by the VMPS bug. I'm searching for a pair of minty Rm30 II near me.

    Hi Ed!

I need to call you to catch up with you. I hope that I can see you at Polkfest. I don't know if I will be able to come to New York before then. Maybe, but not sure.
    Carl
