I'm not looking to make any money from this deal.
I went to Magnolia again today and listened to EMs and CM9s. The CM9s blew me away. They are much more forward with excellent resolution and impact. The only thing the EMs have over the CM9s is the vocal midrange and soundstage that is to die for, but the CM9s should do wonders running off my Mapltree Line 2A tube preamp in the the XPA-3
Not sure if it would be a straight up trade since the CM9s run about $400 more a piece, but perhaps we can barter (I have a mint 52" Sharp Aquos Quattron 1080P TV that will get replaced with a 70" 3D version next week), some gear or I could add money. Or I can landscape your yard. I also cook a mean rack of smoked ribs. Hit me up.

No offence but the lower end equipment you ru n through those logans the worse they sound. Its a curse but also a blessing, I had an emo amp running through the electrostats with pioneer avr and it was the worse I have ever heard them.

Running the EMs for HT through the Emo alone, I will say that they do not reach their potential. However, when I switch to 2 channel listening using a tube pre going through the Emo the sound is off the charts! Please take the Emo hate elsewhere
