Rogue 99 pre matched to Mccormack DNA 225 amp (looking for Jhayman)

I'm hoping Jhayman can give me a heads up on what to expect from pairing Rogue 99 pre with the DNA 225 amp.
I've read about the power reserves of the Mccormack and that it was a "warm" sounding amp. I was wondering if that amp paired w/ a tubed pre- might give off too much of a warm presentation (if that makes any sense). I made an offer on the Mccormack and am in waiting mode.
But I wondered if anyone had any thought or experience on this. I know that Jhayman has this pairing and am hoping that he'll weigh in on his listening experience.
BTW A Rotel RB 990bx amp might be coming available, if there is any interest

Send the dude a PM.
To my ears, the Rogue isn't as tubey sounding as some other tubed pre's. It has a fast airy sound. The McCormack is on the warmer side of neutral with dynamics and bass slam.
These amps sell, so if it's not to your liking, I'll bet you have no problems re-selling it. I doubt that however as the McCormack sound is very addicting which is why you never see a lot of their amps up for sale.
Keep in mind too Jhayman had a small room with big gear in there. He probably had some bass overload going on.HT SYSTEM-

Sorry just saw this thread..
My experience with the Rogue and McCormack are as follows..
The McCormack is a very powerful amp with tons of headroom for reaching deep when needed, very dynamic and warm much better than a Bryston IMO, nothing bad to say at all..
The a Rogue was good as well adjustable gain control to match better with what ever type of speakers you wish to run, tube sound nice a warm and soft, mine was highly modded so I can't comment on the stock Rogue..
Mine is up for sale now, I never posted it here but if someone would like it LMK..
Not to confuse you but I'm selling all my gear and going a different direction on my audio journey...that's all
It's just me I'm going crazy I think..
