12AU7 Quad Set

Need four 12AU7 tubes for my Rogue Audio Perseus preamp. I hear NOS is where it's at (tube noob here) but if you have something that has a great reputation, let me know.

    I've got a quad of GE JG5814A's which is a direct replacement for the 12AU7.... 3 mica grey plate horseshoe getter 50's production copper grids,etc. The 5814A is a ruggedized, computer rated version of the 12AU7.
    2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables.     I installed a pair of these into my "backup" Pre-amp and I have to say they are good tubes. I have one of the black plate 3 mica horseshoe getter GE 5814 tubes and would be highly interested in hearing them in the pre, but will need a second one to listen.

    Anyway, sorry for the tangent. I wanted to give a recommendation for the GE 3 mica grey plate tubes. They are good. You can get better certainly, but you will spend massive amounts to get them. If you are just starting in tubes, these GE's are a very very good start.
