Well I'll start by telling you guys I was having hum issues in my vinyl playback. I had tried a number of things to resolve my issue but none worked. Hum busters, all sorts of things in case is was a ground issue.
I never had a second phono pre to try until recently. I bought a Music Hall pl1.2 a while back so I inserted it into my system and guess what ?? Yep the hum was gone. So I emailed Mark at Rogue Audio and he told me to stop by and drop it off today. (BTW I live only 14 miles from Rogue Audio) I went back around 3:30 this afternoon. Not only did they fix my problem (no charge) but I also got a short tour of the facility and had a nice talk with the man himself. I've been thinking about purchasing another tubed pre-amp and I'm now thinking I just might go to the nearest Rogue dealer and check out a couple of their models. As long as I like what hear I my go this route because if in the future I need service there will be no shipping anxiety. I heard and read my good things about Rogue products and now can add a good personal experience to everything I've heard and read.

That's awesome man. I heard a Rogue integrated several years ago at my local hifi shop and was mesmerized by the thing. I was finally able to pull the trigger on a tube preamp and picked up the Perseus. I love the damn thing.

    Cool story!

I envy your local to Rogue Audio's headquarters! I've had a piece of Rogue gear in my rack for the past 8 years, I won't be without a piece in my rack for a long time to come.

Mark O'Brien is a special guy how has built an outstanding company.

Just bought a Stereo 90 tube amp from that auction site. The unit is a beast and the folks at Rogue Audio have been uber-helpful on the phone with my questions. First class organization who will likely get some of my hard-earned dollars sometime in the future...

I emailed Mark O'Brien and asked if I could post/quote his last email to me and I was given the OK

    Hi Bill,
It was a pleasure having you stop by and I'm glad we were able to help.
Thanks for the kind words on your forum. It was really gratifying to see the nice responses to your entry.
    Best,

Nice to hear a story like this. What turned out to be the problem causing the hum?

All they did was to move slightly ''rotate'' the toroidal transformer. As simple as that.
I thought I'd drop it off and they would be no noise but thank goodness it was humming
    along when they tested it.

Fantastic! So glad you got there pumpkinman.
    I love Rogue Audio.
Last week i sent my boys up to drop off my Zeus to get it hot rodded and as expected from a couple of 18 yr olds they left with a crappy attitude since they were doing a chore for the day.
When they returned hours later they were fired up about about how "cool" everyone was and that Mark and Nick gave them a tour and answered lots of their questions. Both just graduated High School and both took Electronics which they excelled in.
They probably would have thought it was neat with everything there but the fact that these guys at Rogue took an hour out of their day to show them the operation and different boards, explaining the things they are doing and having some laughs at my expense really made their day.
I know when it's time to pick up the amp getting them to run out to get it will be a breeze.
I hope when people look to buy new pieces for their rig they give these folks a shot. You cannot find better people to deal with.
And the gear is top notch IMHO.

I own a couple of pieces of Rogue's gear that I promised I would not sell. However, I will be parting with my Apollo monoblocks since I am planning to get the new Apollo "Dark" monoblocks.

Does this rabbit hole have a bottom?
