MIT Shotgun bi-wire question

Let's say I have bi-wire MIT shotgun speaker cables and decide to go to speakers that are not bi-wire. Can I simply attached the hi and low spades from the bi-wire Shotguns to a single post on the speakers or do I need new speaker cables?
