I have Panny RP91. It has builtin DTS and Dolby Digital Decoder. My Receiver is Denon AVR3801. Now i have my digital o/p of DVD palyer is connected to my receiver so that denon decoder will be used.
My friend told me to use the decoder in the dvd player and use the receiver ad just an amplifier for all the channels.
Any suggestions, whichone is good or bad!

I would think that the decoder in your receiver would almost certainly be the better one. It should, at least, have better bass-management provisions. Also, it will decode the 6.1 soundtracks. Will the decoder in the DVD do that?
I say keep it like you've got it, and let the receiver do the decoding.
