Bi-amp Adcom GFA545

By doing this would it add more power to a center speaker ? I think its rated at 100wpc. If doing this what would the amp be pushing to a center speaker then. He is in market for a center now & has a power amp hooked to his AVR already. Any help would be appreciated TIA

    I read this three times and am not sure what you are asking? But i think if its a bi ampable speaker, it would be 100w to the top and 100w to the bottom

    Im not sure what i was thinking either. Maybe im thinking bridging changes the power. After i posted it i realized my DUH moment & IIRC the 545 doesnt have switch. Sorry i had a few earlier :smile:

    I run a pair of CRS+s off a 545II and it does a fine job at that even ran my 2bs off it until I got my 555II to power the 2bs those Adcoms pack a punch and that 545II would power a single center channel with no problem.

    Godnoyes. Good to know. I picked one up recently & if my friend has the room for it on his stand he wants it for his center speaker. Does it matter that much if his amp is different (Halfer2??) for some strange reason i thought if by itself 1 channel it would have more power. There is a few center channels for sale locally & he has been running phantom with rti8's

    Why not get one of these to use on your center paired with that Halfler, and keep the 545 to use on another rig? That Outlaw would be perfect for a single center Channel

    Thanks. I will see if this will fit in his spot. I paid 50 for Adcom & VSXd1s & its been tucked away so i was gonna give it to him. Not sure what his budget is.But that slim is slim:)

    $50 for the 545 you got a heck of a deal, more the reason to hang onto it, unless it's just collecting dust.
