Frozen midwoofer

I have a pair of Monitor 7s that I bought through CL. On of the mid woofers (mw 6600x) has developed the dreaded "frozen mid woofer" syndrome. Since I have to replace that one, should I go ahead and replace the other one too?
Thanks in advance for your input/ perspective.

Welcome to Cub Polk. I would say if only one is bad, just replace the bad one. Pull it ou to see what model mw it is.

If you plan on keeping them SPEND the coin & call Polk & get a new one. Unless you can get one local. Shipping can sometimes show up froze also. If not properly shipped.. Tell Polk you are a member of Club Polk & they will give you a discount. ENJOY YOUR 7's great sounding speaker---- WELCOME TO CP ----..

Locked-up drivers can be repaired. Most folks figure it isn't worth the hassle when a new one is $50 + tax, etc.
There's a thread on this site somewhere about fixing them, I can't find it. -
Thanks everybody.
I ordered an mw 6503 today. Should be here next week. Thought I'd try just one first. If the sound doesn't match, I'll just order another one. Polk says they have "hundreds" in stock.
Besides regluing the magnet, what else can be done with a frozen driver? I feel bad chucking into a dumpster but I don't want to keep (another) inert component either. -
