The Dayton subs are popular because of their performance and price. The Titanics are very popular over at HTF and that looks like a good deal. You can save some money by making a larger ported enclosure and a smaller amp if that interests you.

I have the Dayton 10" Titanic and it is a very nice little sub. It does especially well in a 2 channel application with my RT55is. It holds it's own for HT duty as well, but does have its limitations based on pure size. Build quality is excellent. It is a front firing sealed design. The only thing I don't like is the crinkle finish on the box but that is a very minor issue. If the 15" is anything like mine, I would say go for it. I'm sure a lot will say go SVS...which is certainly a safe bet...but this one may be every bit as good. You only know if you give it a try.

Donald, Be sure and keep us updated if you get one. If it is as good as it's little brother (only lower and louder) I just might have to move the 10" to the 2 channel system a get the big one for my HT.
