The cabs are scratched up from being laid sideways on stone shelving used in a two channel tv setup.

there is a rattle in one speak, I have removed the horns looking for something loose, as it is only when cranked prety good, not like a floppy driver.

I will remove and inspect for anything obvious behind the woofs tonight.

These are very obviously party speaks, the bass is pretty impressive at this price, and the horns, for the short time i listened, did not seem irritating.

Check to see if the back panel is loose. Cabinet glue failures are a common problem on the KLF series.

Oh, & that's a heck of a good price BTW.

That was the first thing i checked,it sounds like it is higher up, i will be taking out the woofs tonight and see if a piece of wood has come loose, Its not like its a really bad noise, and to watch tv its fine, only rattles when you crank it up pretty good.

Just hooked them up again in the living room system.

They actually sound really good playing paul simons graceland, about as loud as anyone could listen comfortably.

You have to turn the volume up to levels that would not be comfortable to listen to, to make the buzzing sound.

    I found where it appears.

If you push the wooden back pice in, right about between the height of the horn tweet and the first woofer, the vibration stops, I will be removing the top woofer to see if there is some wood separating those two chambers, but i doubt it.

Also gave them a wipe to dust, and used a black marker to touch up the scratches, they dont look awful for a few seconds of touchup and sound damn good for a hundred bucks

I am now listening to Houses of the holy cd, rain song.

I walked over to the front door to check out believe it or not, that it just began to rain, I guess its about ten feet.

The bass changed considerably, these would be great in a large room, or garage, and the vibration problem is non existant at this volume, as loud as i would want to listen.

But it is there at very high volumes, just want to disclose.

PM sent. I have a friend in KY that needs speakers. This would work for him nicely actually.
