Here in Dallas, that would of been $1500.

You have aknack, thats all i can say dude, not just for finding, but beating everyone to them.

Just the hpms alone would normally sell for more than that.

Congrats to one of the true good guys.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

    Nice haul.

I'd be most interested in how those HPM 100s sound with the amp. From what I gather the HPM 100s were made to compete with the classic JBL 12" three ways of that time, should be decent Rock speakers! And the amp looks like it has a two transformer structure, dual mono?

150 is a good price just for the speakers alone. You did GOOD, Randy!

    Have fun!

Nice stuff... although, were it me, I'd sell the HPM-100s to pay for the rest... and I'd definitely keep the rest.
The RT-909 is a very nice deck; gotta get mine rehabbed soon...

I was thinking the same thing. Those are pretty rare to find on CL...especially in the electronics section.

The speakers sound quite well BUT darn are they huge. I listened to it for 2+ hours after servicing the amp :) oh my. I got another set of 7's to be delivered today & i will see how it sounds on them. The Pioneers werent to fatiguing as i thought they would be. The bass was perfect. Mids were right there. Tweets stood out nicely. But these are definitely furniture size cabinets with taking up more real-estate than the SDA's . The amp/tuner & R2R is staying & havent decided on tape player (holds 6 tapes :) & TT.. Dont need no EQ & timer.

they arent as bad as i thought listening to them. Normally Pioneer speakers dont cut it for me. They dont seem to bad. Ill sit on them for a bit. They are quite stocky for there size. I guess saying big isnt the word i should have used. Large footprint more like it

"I've got 60.00 burning a hole in my pocket" I could add a Benjamin to that!
Those Hpm-100 were pretty heavy and bulky but I liked them, the reason I was content for so long, till I heard SDA's
