Remember and give thanks to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

God Bless.

I am enjoying this holiday weekend with my family - good times, good food, good conversation - wonderful and treasured times.

And, I am 100% aware, thankful, and abjectly appreciative that it is due to the sacrifices made by those who have served and given the ultimate.

    Thank you.

    That's a big 10-4.

One of the nicest things about living in a small New England town is the... intimacy of the Memorial Day services. They're extremely moving. Apparently one of the longest-running traditional New England Memorial Days, dating back to the tradition of "Decoration Day", is that in Brandon, VT.

Mrs. H and I didn't attend a memorial parade this year, but we did take time to do our annual clean-up and place flowers at the graves of her parents. Both of her parents were WWII veterans (her mother was a WAVE).
