Hendrix vinyl box set recommendation

I recently got this box set and it is fantastic, the sound quality is top notch. It's an 8 LP anthology. Elusive Disc has it marked down from $100 to $70, and now they have a 10% sale going, so the cost of this set is $63. At that price for 8 records, this set is a no brainer, I highly recommend this set:

    A buddy of mine told me, quote, "Fekkin' incredible! LOTS of unreleased stuff, some GREAT jams ..." For $63 on 180 gram it sure seems like a no-brainer ... (although not a big fan of that stuff on the first LP, just never got off on the "Jimi Hendrix plays, Curtis Knight sings" or that kind of thing where he was a back up guitarist to those types.) For less than $8 an album, I can live with that, though.

    Yeah, the first record is a requirement for historical purposes, it is an anthology after all. I gave it the one listen, doubt I'll be playing that disc much. But from the second LP and on, it's great.
