I can't think of anyone that will mislead you in more ways than this goofball self proclaimed expert. He is so wrong about so much....

If you want to get less audio enjoyment for your hard earned money, then listen carefully to what he has to say! Write down his teachings...or better yet, buy his book that tells you all about how much smarter and wiser he is than everyone else!

A so called science type proudly says... "I do realize that I would fool myself all the time, about listening conclusions and many other observations, if I did listen before buying. That’s why I don’t, I bought all of my current gear based on technical parameters alone, such as specs and measurements."

More amazing Internet Science Pink Panther wisdom..."My DAC has since been upgraded from Mark Levinson to Topping."

Could you be more specific? What for example did he say that is not true?

Almost everything! Right from the start he's wrong! AES should be totally embarrassed having their name associated with such drivel.

Not worth my time or anyone's to spend time on his silliness. He's the pied piper clown of low-fi, trying to proclaim himself an expert while taking money from folks for extremely misguided nonsense!

Whatever happened to inventive people? To the pursuit of better? To enjoying the arts instead of trying to pull others down to average or less?

His attempt to grab attention with his false headlines would be laughable except for the thought of those that will follow along and believe and pay the price as a result! There is never enough time to enjoy the gift of music..why spend it with less than the best you can achieve? He is a sad little man...I predict mother issues!

I think that some of the videos from RMAF are very informative. The one with Roy Hall from Music Hall Turntables and Andrew Jones from Pioneer/TAD was worth the hour long listen.

Great sound on a budget is the topic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egMhiGud0ks&list=UU74xmXx1NfeIIa44J1IU84w

This is what I got from the video, just my opinion .Numbers and grafts don't mean squat, they are made up to make the manufacturers look good on paper. My ears are the only things I need to make up my mind if I would like to buy piece of audio gear or not.
I have learned from this forum and its members.Get your own ears on as many pieces of audio gear possible and make your decisions based on what you prefer. And sometimes things don't work together like you thought they would in your home.
