I'm a little confused here. In the Handbook page marked for SDA 2B schematic OC dated 3/30/87 titled P01232002. In the bottom left corner there is a footnote saying the wire from the x-over should always be connected to pin #2 (the small pin) They are using the term pin but clearly it shows a blade designation as opposed to another schematic that does show pins. Through the years here I think ALL you guys say hook up that wire to the large blade. So what gives and which way is correct?

That one and only that one has the blue wire connected to the small blade or pin as it is labeled on the schematic.Political Correctness'.........defined

OK, so Jesse I think you know my 2Bs and were originally connected via large blade. Why and just for curiosity is it different on that schematic. Is it a generation type thing and if a newbie got a set of 2Bs that happened to have that wire disconnected how would they know which blade to put it on with exception of the size of the stakon crimps. The not marking of every model I always thought was nutty like calling SDA 2 but until you told me I had '87 2Bs I was clueless. I also said this many times that their way of even just naming their speakers was very confusing, simple mind yeah but they could have named them something other than numbers w/ decimal points in some cases if you know what I mean. I kinda know what model is which now but if my life depended on it I would have dead a long time ago.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

It was a transitional model. Is it a generation type thing and if a newbie got a set of 2Bs that happened to have that wire disconnected how would they know which blade to put it on with exception of the size of the stakon crimps.

I didn't see your reply. Thanks, it makes all the sense now. My simple mind anology would be like the 1964 and a 1/2 Mustang. I wiil always have a problem w/ their nomenclature but that's just me.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
