Well the wife said I just ruined the feng shui of the living room,but I don't see it.I just see a little bigger speaker.Just picked these up off C.L. Thanks to Dropthebeat for the heads up on these,they were just right around the corner from where I live

    Thanks I usually check cl daily but I had jury duty the day they were posted and dtb texted me and asked me if I had seen them.So I went by after work and listened to them.No interconnect and they were hooked up to a sony receiver with about 50 watts going to them.I asked him about the interconnect and he did not even know what that was.I got them home and hooked them up to my adcom and made an interconnect out of an rca cable and they sounded awesome.They are in really great shape except for a missing badge on one speaker

    I did put on some tedeschi/trucks for her and she really liked the sound,we are in the process of converting and extra bedroom into a listening room.I think if I get them out of the living room she will be a lot happier.The 2b's were a little to much for her when I put them in there.I originally had the bose cubes in there

    Yes Once I heard them I have decided to upgrade these and not the transitional 1's I have.The 2b's are stock also but I will be liquidating some of my other speakers to bring these up to par.I am just wondering what kind of sound quality I will be hearing with the upgrades,are the 198 tweeters a good place to start?

    I think so,and the price was right too!I really hope this is the biggest I go,the wife already said as much but for my sized room they should do fine.

    What Adcom are you using ? They tower over those 2b's :) so Whats better than 1pair of speakers ? Answer= 2pair :smile:

    I have an adcom 555 running them,I also have a denon 2400 running some klipsch heresy's in the computer room,and an carver 1.0 in the closet if needed along with some other gear.I will be mixing it up to see which ones I like better,but my first priority is getting the listening room setup

    I'm still jealous but I told myself I wouldn't buy anymore speakers until I sell my m12s !! Glad you were able to purchase them.
    Yamaha V1800 receiver along with a NAD 2600a and 2700a .

    Very nice pick up. Great looking set. I like Mr. Boston and a bunch of other people run Adcom 555s and they do great for my 2Bs as well as every other model so I hear. Nice room your wife will learn to love em.

    I counted the other day ... I have 17 speakers!! lol and I just gave away 3 of them I'm sure a lot of people here have more than that but I don't even use half of them I just like having them.     Thanks everyone,I think she is coming around on them.It was just a shock to see speakers that you need a dolly to move into the house. :) The speakers are in great shape but they do have a couple of light rings on the tops but the grills and the side cloths are flawless,and the one missing badge.I ended up giving 400 for them after a little haggling but would of paid the 500 he was asking if push came to shove.

    I thought so and would of never told what I got them for if I ever thought they would leave my house!But if they ever do DTB has first dibs on them.I met him on a sale of 11t's off craigslist's and found out he was on club polk and is a stand up guy.We are a little ways apart but if either one sees something in their area we are going to help each other out.This forum has some REALLY good people on it and I am happy to be here.

    Ok I had a breakthrough tonight but it was not with the wife(although I saw her in the other room enjoying every minute of it)
    I put on some Fleetwood mac and started to put a little power to the 2.3 tl's and I was stunned at the sound.They are not set up properly but what I was hearing at about 11 o'clock on the dial was simply amazing to me.I thought I knew what good sound was but I didn't expect what I heard.If the upgrades make it better I am in for a long and blissful journey.I also think she is converted which makes me happy
