Hello Folks, haven't been on for awhile, but doing another HT project in a office and need some input on selection of a center channel speaker. I have a pair of Lsi 9's all driven by a Marantz NR1604 7.1 I don't have room for a sub due to space allocation. Got the 7.1 in case I want to expand in the future. So I am looking at both the CSI A6 Center and the LSI m704c. I have 9 inches of clearance from the bottom of the wall mounted Plasma and the fixed office desk unit. Both of these center would fit in that space. The price is not the really the issue here, it's what is best suited for the existing speakers and how much bottom I can get from the Lsi's given that I am skipping a sub at this time. I value all you knowledgeable Polk experts out there so if you can help I thank very much. Best. Bob Richards

Either way your mixing 4 ohm with 8 ohm, probably not the best idea. The CSI A6 is from a brighter line than the LSIs, it might draw too much attention to itself. The 704c would be better, but being a 3 way design you would notice some subtle tonal differences in the upper mids as well. The center from the LSI line can be had on ebay for about $400. One pops up about every week on ebay, but may have to wait if you want a mint condition one.
