Hello and this is my first post, I just bought some A9's and find that my Marantz 7008 just doesn't have the power to really make
these speakers perform, I am looking at an Emovita-XPA-100 for each tower, anybody ever try these ?

Thanks Rbrdk

If you are putting together a music rig, most here find that pairing to be somewhat harsh and to the bright side of things. Mot a very good match IMHO.

If you are looking at HT use, then the pairing would be ok, but just that. Finding new at that pricepoint is a challenge, but you could do better if you are open to used amps or can increase the budget somewhat.

what kind of amp would you recommend ? I listen to music as much as HT, I have the Csi-A6 center and A-5's for rears.

What kind of budget are we looking at? There are so many choices out there, and some would even be Emo models...

One of my ALL-TIME favorites is this one...

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/PA-7A-II-NAKAMICHI-STASIS-POWER-AMPLIFIER-225W-225W-EX-CONDITION-NO-RESERVE-/141286700787?pt=US_Home_Audio_Amplifiers_Preamps&hash=item20e557f6f3

This amp is one of the greats from the mind of Nelson Pass, of PASS Labs fame. The STASIS architecture was also used at Threshold, and is still very well regarded as one of the best designed amps of all time.

This one would elevate your entire rig to the next level, not just your two channels...

If Emo is your chosen path, I would take this one... it is over budget a bit, but the improvement in performance is worth the extra cost.

$1500 will get you a nice Parasound HCA-3500 which brings out everything the A9's can do.

Then let your AVR do the center and surrounds, or upgrade to a separate amp for them in the future.

I have found a dealer for Anthem, any thoughts....parasound has no distributors in Canada, emovita either, and I get screwed big time for freight, exchange and brokerage for anything from the US

That sucks, paying the fees across the boarder would be tough.

I think anthem is good stuff? Their prices seem comparable to Parasound new stuff so I'd hope they're good stuff!
