mm6 cracked magnet
the other day my head unit died on me out of noware and the sound from my back seet was half of what it normaly is when i hooked my new head unit up. checked my speakers and one of them was seised. pulled it out and realised the magnet was cracked in half. half on the speaker half on the magnet cover wich was shifted a lil. it sandwiched the voice coil between the magnet and the pole peice. now my question is, aside from wondering how this happined, is can this be fixed and if so how?

i'd really like to NOT have to replace them. i bought em a few months ago, put em in just recently and they only have a few hours of use on em. the problem is i don't know if i can use the warrantee because i didn't buy em from a reseller. i got em off someone else who did and i dont have the receiptAudi A3 3.2Q | DSG | bi-xenons | opensky | ocean blue | beige

It cannot be fixed.
Why? I can only speak from Home Audio experience, but this happens fairly frequently in the shipping of drivers, especially vintage drivers. The magnet will get jarred and loosen from the adhesive, thus locking down the VC to the magnet. It really sucks when half of what you won on Ebay shows up fooked.
Contact customer service and talk with them about the situation. I don't know if they will help you, but it's only a phone call.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
