Deoxit product (spray) works best for cleaning potentiometers?

Hard to tell from the literature.

    Deoxit Gold....what piece are you referring to ? Different potentiometers are harder to clean than others.

    The Marantz 2385 Volume pot, and it is a **** to get at.... would love to take it out ad clean/rebuild it but I don't want to F it up... I tried cleaning it with some Deoxit fader spray and it is better but I can still get an occasional noise out of it. Gonna order me some GOLD

    Not familiar personally with that specific pot but I know a lot of those old ones are hard to get at. You should see some holes on or near the bottom to spray the Deoxit into. Don't forget to let dry out good before powering up again.

    or try the 100% solution with the needle. Spray is only 5% solution...
