Feeble because i can never put into words how things sound to me.

Along with my sonic Frontiers sfl1 pre,my Rega RP1 TT, the anthem "Amp2" Dawgfish loaned me, the "Jolida Jd9" phono pre Dawgfish gave me, The Denon 2900 disc player dawg loaned me, and the several sets of high quality ICs dawg loaned me to swap around as i like,................Do you detect a trend here?, My rega RP1 TT, and the silversmith speaker wires rev. Tim Luther sold me for the price of shipping, I think i have at least a respectable system to voice these incredible speakers.

The problem is i dont have the words in my audio vocabulary.

Right now I have Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" vinyl playing, I guess the best i can say is, I wish you were here.

For the most part this same system, except with a carver tfm 25 amp were used with the demo lsim703s, while they were wonderfully accurate, the sda effect is what takes me away, I have always enjoyed the wide, deep sound over a detailed, i guess more mannerly, behaved sound, gimme big awe inspiring floor standers anytime, and throw in the sda effect, well, lets just say im happy.

Scotty.... who cares if your vocab isnt as spiffy as some.

If it sounds good and your hearing things you haven't before.. thats all that matters.

I am glad your still loving life. My family and I continue to pray for you.

Glad your still enjoying the music....

The darkness has begun to loosen its grip a little, the change in season has allowed me to occupy my time with a little outdoor activity, and that has led to evenings that include some tunes, and occasionally, a cold beer or three, something i have not done in years.

In the past I would usually force deb to dance with me to something like "Dancing Queen" which i knew she loved, or dig out a record I had for decades and see if she would like it.

Of course there is still a huge emptiness, but I am beginning to be able to allow a smile or enjoyment of something simple.

Believe it or not, that is a huge leap from what i thought i could do just a short while ago.

For anyone out there who might face the same pain, please hang in there, little by little it does get better, and it sure helps to have good folks, like you guys, to lend an ear.

I don't think SDA 1Cs get all the respect they deserve! They are great speakers, IMHO!

    Enjoy the good sound!

Glad to hear you are enjoying the SDAs - I have only heard this line once, but was immediately struck by the spaciousness and depth they painted. Won't work in my current abode - maybe someday.

Continue to share your experiences - always interested to read what others have to contribute here - it is what sets CP apart from the other forums.

Scotty I to know what your trying to convey. Hey when your not a published audiophile reviewer it is hard to describe what's going on besides just knowing if you like it or not. Last week I go and get the Onkyo P-3150v pre from an avid Polk,Sansui,Yamaha collector. In his den he showed and we listened to a pair of SDA 2 vinyl wrap cabinets. I can tell you my 2Bs blew these away in more ways I can explain. In his basement he turns on his 1.2TL monliths powered by the big Sansui Integrated and by all accounts these got and deserve every accolade ever brought to themselves. The other side of the bsmt he has a Marantz, Yamaha amp and some NHT speakers. Yes for some it might be hard to get across of what you are or are not hearing. I still revert to the handbook for reference on models.

This place, these people, I consider one of the dearest blessings in my life right now.

I know that sounds melodramatic, in fact it is woefully inadequate.

God bless you all and thank you for everything through the years.

Deb and i always loved "Gimme Shelter" from this cd,as we never had the LP,the rest of it, BLAH.

I am right now listening to it over the system in my signature, much of which was loaned or gifted by dawg, the rest were purchases based on advice from right here.

I gotta tell ya, its a different world of sonic performance.

It shows me how OLD, OLD men like GG could be singing the praises of the older stones work.

If you arent hearing it right, well, you just aint hearin it.
