While doing a house today, this couple had some stuff in their basement.
MCS 3223 receiver one light is out on the face.
MCS 3536 cassette deck
MCS 6601 turntable needs a new stylus.
2 MCS speakers

Definately not of any quality but for $50.00 I figured what the heck. Goofey thing is after I gave him the money, here comes his wife with all the original manuals. She thought they bought this stuff in 78 or 79.

Maybe not the best quality we know now but as a 16 year old sitting in my bedroom listening to Ted Nugent Free For All album I was in heaven with that receiver, turntable and speakers.Got that for Christmas one year and it was awesome.

Your right, been looking up info on TT's, there are some similar looking Techic's that were made. I just couldn't pass it up on this stuff, besides been kicking around the getting back into vinyl for a while now.

While I think the "The Nuge" has turned into a right-wing psycho, I recently re-bought that, and his debut album, "Ted Nugent". While I hated giving him royalty money, I have loved some of those tunes since the 70s.

Been a week or so now monkeying with this lil thing. I have one face light out I need to replace. Gonne take it back apart and shoot some pics as I'm not sure how to do this and will appreciate any direction from those much smarter than me.

The manual Amplifier section says: RMS/watts @ 8 ohms 40-20 Khz is 23 watts per channel. Funny how the R11's make 23 watts seem bigger that that number.

Discrete components and wires? I remember those.

The tiny bulbs were called "grain of wheat" bulbs and I used to have to replace them all every few years in all my Marantz stuff.

Today I would consider replacing all the bulbs with colored LEDs.
