Hey guys, posted this in the speakers section but figured I'd get more eyes here.

These are on my local CL and I'm in talks with the owner now.

I really like the idea of having speakers that are this unique but I have no clue what they're really worth. Also, I can't dig anything up on them.

    They seem to be custom built, so getting a handle on the price will be difficult. He's claiming the retailed for $4500, but who knows since they're one off. They look to have decent drivers in the pics, the cabs look well built, but how do they sound?

    I'd have a listen and if they sound really good offer him ~ 20% less than he has them listed for as he probably has a little room in the price.

    His "life-long" speakers, but there's a grille missing, and they're scratched-up? And he's loaded the description with unrelated keywords?

    Thanks for the input guys. I think I'm gonna pass on this one. To much of a risk and the missing grill is annoying.

    Good choice....pass. Especially for the price he wants. They do look like 3000p's on crack though.
