Thank you. I was feeling really stupid -
I believe it's a unit you use between the transport and DAC to reduce jitter.

The DTI is simply put a Jitterbug.

oops...;)
the digital out of your cd player is a pcm digital signal. Now imagine that digital signal deveating around the reference time that is jitter. The DTI reclocks the pcm signal so there is no jitter.
Hope this helps.

Hbomb,
How do you buy something from Audiogon? Do you just e-mail the seller?
Thanks

Never mind. I just registered:)
I just e-mailed the seller. HBomb, how will this unit sound with the DAC in the Box (DITB) I'm purchasing from 00P25?

Alright. I just bought it. I wasn't planning to get one but what the hell. I'll be using it with the AA DITB I'm buying from 00p225. The outboard power supply is so sexy. Since the DITB doesn't decode HDCD, I'll be running the analog outs from my CD player to an input in the pre and and another run from the DAC to the pre.
Thanks again for the help HBomb.
