I can't believe I'm asking this, but...
...Has anyone here ever spent time listening to B&W CM8 or CM9 speakers? I know I should be content with my ElectroMotions, but it's well past their break-in period and I'm wondering if they've shown me everything they can do. These were my dream speakers but I hate to admit they sounded better in the showroom. Perhaps it's due in part to my small room size of 13x13. Don't get me wrong, these are the best speakers I've ever owned but I keep thinking about the B&Ws that I heard at Magnolia back in December 2013. It's like I can't get them out of my head. They were exciting to listen to. But the MLs were much more natural sounding and I thought that's what I wanted. Then again, I'm nursing a bad case of bronchitis right now so this may just be the cough medicine with codeine talking.

U ought to try a dedicated pre, and amp on those ML! Then u'll hear what there really capable of. Until then, swapping out speakers are the only way to get a different sound. Plus a warmer sounding amp, nothing against ur Emo, just a brighter sounding amp.( I owned one) B&W will sound rather harsh with that Emo, as they are a bit harsh on the top end to begin with. Just my .02"Everything I ever did in my life worthwhile I caught hell for"

You have not seen what they can do, I have a tube pre FS that would open them right up and make it so it sounds like your not even listening to the same speakers.

Problem is they're pulling double duty as my HT fronts also. If they were purely for dedicated 2ch I'd be there already.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K
