Amp noise floor?

Another fun project for another day. I was trying to reproduce the measurements DarqueKnight made on his various interconnects, and found that I have more fast hash running down the speaker cables (by about 15dB - lots!) than he shows, though the 'scope noise floor is lower, if anything. Guess what I can't even see!
My first guess is switcher noise from the power supplies, since it's lower with the Emotiva XPA than with the Crown I'm using for the L&R front channels, but I suppose it could be the input cables or power supply.
Kind'a goes along with what I said on DK's thread - unless the rest of the gear is up to the task, cables aren't going to be noticeable. Another layer to peel off of the onion.

Kinda'? The lower the noise floor, distortion and ambient room noise, the more music that was always there you hear. Get the aforementioned low enough with a properly built system that has synergy? Bliss is a result. The differences between cables are reduced to audio discussions 101. Welcome to the learning curve my friend.
Everything affects everything.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
