That is such an open question.
As there was many versions of the SDA1 maybe you need to read up on them before you jump in.

I feel that the SDA 1C are the most desirable and also going for the most money from people that know what they have.
I paid $250 for mine and I had to replace one 6.5 Mw6510 and a grille badge was missing, made a interconnect wire so that set it to $300.

If they are C (probably pin/blade) in nice condition that's a good price @ $350.
    B's (probably blade/blade) more like $250.
Do this, pull one MW if it is 6510 or 6511 then you have C model if it is 6509 it's a B.
    hope this helps .

Paid 350.00 for these 1c's & drove 30 miles. Cant recall what i paid for the 2b's (130.00 shipping from Colorado) but they were more & dont be afraid to spend the coin for SDA's if thats what you really want in a speaker

Original Clist ad pics of 1c i picked up. Seller wanted 550.00 & i offered him 400.00 & he dropped 50.00 when i asked for cord he couldnt find. Depending on condition dont hesitate on 3-600.00. Some may argue

Very nice Randy, with the boxes that's nice!! So you have 1C and 2B which do you prefer? The reason I said $350 was a good price as the OP mentioned damage to the corner. Your 1C's $600 is no problem, and worth it!

i prefer the 1c's stock over the 2b stocks. Then again i havent used this Denon with the 2b's & no upgrades done. I was stating above that SDA's are worth whatever the buyer pays & condition. Hey if someone can get them for a hundred bucks great. But if they dont come up often/ever in your area dont hesitate to spend the dough, right. I probably wouldnt have spent 600.00 for mine. Cause i didnt have 600.00 LOL..

For me SDA's are what real speakers should sound like nothing else will do. If that corner is minor and they don't come around often where you are go for it.

  • I actually came across my SDA 1a's in a garage sale in Boulder. The only reason I realized they were vintage high end is because I have some Infinity Kappy 8s. I paid only $30.oo bucks for mine. I am impressed with these speakers. I plan on doing some upgrades on the tweeters and other mods recommended by Polk.

  • Just got a pair of sda 1's online. Part of a package deal that includes a yamaha cassette deck, yamaha cd player, and a phillips avr. They are either the 1b's or c's judging from the photos. Haven't seen or heard them yet as they are a 4 hr drive from me. I came across them while looking for replacement parts for my monitor 10's. Package price? 75.00 Cdn.
