Building New Speaker Tower--Speaker choices?

I am planning on building a pair of 3-way cabinets. Currently I'm planning on using the Polk 10" db1040 for a subwoofer, and either the Polk db461p(I prefer this one-but it doesn't come with a grille-suggestions to get around that?) or the Polk db651 in each tower. Which one should I use? I would like to make it a sealed enclosure but am willing to do a ported if it is indeed worth it and if help is provided. My question is, if both the mid range woofer and subwoofer are in the same enclosure, will the subwoofer negatively affect the mid range woofer? And if so, how would I get around this while keeping everything in the same enclosure? Would a port allow both mid and sub breathe without affecting each other? Or would I need to have the mid/tweeter in its one sealed section inside of the box?

Why?, just buy something that's already engineered and design to work from the ground up.
This is the DO IT YOURSELF section, is it not?AVRs

Speaker building can be addictive! There are lots of resources around the web to assist in designing speakers. To help get started, check out DIYaudio.com and Parts Express Tech Talk.
The mids & woofers need their own sub-enclosures. Different tunings, whether sealed or ported.
And unless you have lots of experience designing XOs, take the easy route & used a mini-DSP and multi-channel amps.

I recommend parts express as the customer service for me was very very good.
