I'm trying to make the most out of a small living room and a tiny corner I don't think I can get away from. I was playing around with sketchup today and I will try to attach a pic of the layout. There is a large window behind the sofa on the front wall and a door to the left. My current speakers are monitor 75 fronts,cs10 center, rt800 rear and a 12' sub that I'm embarrassed to mention the make/model. I'd really like some ideas of how I can make something nice out of the corner where the tv/fronts will be. I'm pretty sure I am going to need to get rid of the rt800's but I am not sure where/what/how to set up functional rears in the space I have. Any ideas how to make the most of this room ?

Thanks.

Put the gear on the wall where the loveseat is now. Put the loveseat where the sofa is now and put the sofa out in the room facing the wall with the gear.

Wife says no :( only 2 feet on either side of sofa. Cant argue too much I am still in the dog house for buying the monitor 75's last weekend. Would solve my audio issues though. Ceiling speakers above the sofa and love seat work ?

Do what F1 said except slide the sofa more towards the corner where the tv is now. Leave the right side (if your sitting on the sofa) in the sweet spot.

That can be where you sit and to the left can be your lovely wife.

That should leave plenty of space to the right of the sofa to walk around.

Then put the loveseat there and leave the sofa where it is.

That said, 2 feet on either side of the sofa is more than enough.

Yea, I have my couch positioned so that the sweet spot hits the far left side. And that is where I sit.
