Some questions for RTi8 owners......

I recently purchased the RTi8s and have a few questions....

1. What would be a good choice for a receiver? I have been looking at the Onkyo TX-SR701, Harmon/Kardon....

2. Which center channel? CSi3 or CSi5? I guess the "voicing" on the CSi5 would be closer to the RTi8s?

3. Which surrounds? FXi3, FXi5, FXi30, FXi50....

4. Does "bi-wiring" the RTi8s make much of a difference?

1) Onkyo is a good receiver to pair up with your rti8's. However the Onkyo paired with the rti8 is noticeably bright at times. But break in time and adjustment of your overall treble should do the trick. The new HK's out work pretty well with the rti8's as well. The Hk's have a more warm sound to them. Some people like warm some people don't.

2) I am definately very vocal when it comes to the center channel. I heard great things about the csi3 but if you can work a deal out with whom you are purchasing it from go to the csi5. You won't regret it. Remember your center does 80% of the work in your home theater.

3) Can't help you there. I don't have direct radiating surrounds.

4) Oh oh... You might be opening a can of worms here. I have my rti8's biwired. Do I notice a diffrence???? I don't... And when I do it's nominal. Biwiring from the same source i figure doesn't give you much of a gain. But if you had seperates.......
