Hey y'all. Just wondering if its possible to replace the amp plate of the 110 with the amp plate from the psw125? They look similar in size, and I'm just thinking of possibilities of upping the wattage of the 110. I'm just brainstorming. Any thoughts??

According to Polk's specs, the 110 has a 100/200 watt amp and the 125 has a 150/300 watt amp. I don't think that you will notice a significant difference switching out the 100 for the 150?

I'd check the specs on the woofer and consider a third party plate amp if you can get it cheap enough. Or just bite the bullet and invest in a better more powerful sub.

That's what I was sort wondering... Whether or not the extra 50 watts would bring more out of the driver on the 110. I find it interesting that the 111 has a 150/300 watt amp for its 8inch driver, but give its larger 125 with a 12 inch driver a similar wattage amp. It makes more sense to me to give the 110 the 150/300 amp and the 111 the 100/200 amp.

On another note, does anyone know if the amp plates of the 110 and 125 are the same dimensions? If someone were to swap them, would it be a direct fit or would modifications need to be done??
