I think the new line sounds better, the Vifa dome is really nice on my ears. I was also able to get lovey dovey with a pair of RTi6's, and the fit and finish, of that pair, was outstanding.

Do I think it justifies the cost....maybe, if I was in that market. I know the older RTi line sounds real good, given some decent gear, so I would buy old....it also has a generic look. The new gear has a fresh, unique look, coupled with a better sounding high end....perhaps its a lock, I don't know.

This is my first set of Polks, and all I can say is I love them very much. I had Cerwin Vega Re series before, it's like night and day, the Polks are very well timbre match. I have the RTI6 for my fronts and they do the job very well for there small size. Also I like the apperance of the new line better than the old.

JrVtecAccord - You have a very nice setup, nice choice in subwoofer. Get some pics in the showcase when you get a chance.

Funny you mention the subwoofer, I am not really happy with it, I previous had a cerwin vega hts15 and I am not hearing much difference. I think I am going to join the SVS club:D I am a bass junkie and the psw505 is not duing justice for me.

I would love to post pics, but I dont have a digi camera, nor film. I am not really in to photography, I guess that's why it explains the lack of cameras, but I think I will be making a digi camera purchase sometime since the prices are fairly low.

I'm very impressed with the rti6's. They are very sharp looking to boot. The oomph these little guys put out is amazing. I think I'll go see how well they timbre match with my old CS350. I have to run the Denon pretty hard before these guys start to strain.

I just got a pair of RTi4. I am currently in the middle of shoot out between this and my old Rti25. There are obvious differences between the high end response, but it I think the choice between the old trilaminate tweeter and the new vifa tweeter will going to be a matter of personal taste. There is nothing inherently wrong or right with either.

I am more focusing on subtle differences in lower and upper midrange. This accounts for some tracks more enjoyable on RTi4 vs. Rt25i and vice versa.

I will post a detailed review as I complete the shootout.
