The way they arrive at the rating is quiet amusing though.
Apparently, they send a 2000 watt burst for a split second to the speakers. If they survive, they label it as 2000 watts... ;)

    QUESTION 4: What is PMPO

ANSWER: PMPO WATTS- this is an electronics/speaker/ output rating based on Peak Moment Power Output. It could be compared to a momentary "burst" of power to the speakers to accommodate different instruments, sound levels and bass instruments. With the onset of the deep bass sound ( BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! ) output devices this rating has become more important and new electronics and manufacturing techniques has allowed higher quality speakers to be produced for a much lower cost.

QUESTION 4: What is the other 'wattage rating' that they used to use

ANSWER: RMS WATTS - Root-Mean-Squared power rating. Basically this is the "consistent" output power capabilities of the speaker system..

Whenever you see PMPO ratings... just move on! I've only seen such ratings on inferior surround systems. I have no idea who came up with PMPO, but it must've been someone who was trying to sell some speakers....

Sorry, but I'm not feeling sorry for a bonehead who buys this crap at $25 and thinks they're getting something really great. People need to engage the common-sense mechanism.

Just use a little common sense. Who in their right mind would expect audiophile quality for 29 bucks!

If you read the AD, he's not really lying about anything. I suppose if you unplug the speakers and hook up the amp to whatever measures it output, then perhaps you could squeeze a 2000 total watt 1 billionth of a second burst out of it. Would probably be 100% distortion too.

Anyway, it's a total piece of **** and you're a damn fool for buying it!
