Yamaha Rx-A810 subwoofer output won't work?

I just installed a home theater for a friend and am having some issues. It's a Polk Tsx series, SVS sub and Yamaha Aventage 810. For some reason I cannot get the sub to work, but I hooked up a Denon receiver i'd put in his living room and it worked fine, and would also work if I used the preout for the front speaker from the Yamaha. I'm assuming it has a bad subwoofer pre out? Is that possible or has anyone heard of that before? It has dual sub pre outs and I can't get either one to work. The only thing i'm worried about is he ordered it from accessories4less and it was a refurb, i'm wondering if that was why. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

I double checked that too, I set all the speakers to small and crossed them over at 80hz. The sub is set to on and normal phase, and I even bumped it to +5db on the channel level and still got nothing?

Yeah I think so too unfortunately, i'll give them a call monday. Unfortunately the worst part is they just moved in and the box got thrown out with all the other boxes, so that's never good.

I hope so, i've heard good things too and i've personally owned a few refurbed receivers and my projector is a refurb and i've never had an issue. It was had to pass up for $450 since he didn't want to spend over $500, i'm sure it'll work out just thought it was kind of a random problem to have and wanted to at least throw it out there. Appreciate it!
