Hi Bill,
It's a pleasant break from my usual fare. I'd rate 5 of the 10 tracks highly listenable with the remaining 5 in the "have to be in the mood" bracket. Well written, well played, nicely engineered and, to me at least, indicative of some influences they've assimilated over the past 5 decades--blended nicely with signature elements of their vocal and instrumental styles. -

Red, one of my first LP purchases as a kid was this album. I went down to the record store and my friend picked out Jimi Hendrix's first album and I picked out this one. The next day at school I told my friend that BS&T wasn't my style. He said he couldn't stand the Hendrix. So we decided to switch. He loved the BS&T, and I played Are You Experienced constantly until I wore it out.
