The first track on this CD, "Smile, Stacey," may become one of my tracks for auditioning gear -- great soundstage in breadth and depth, instrument separation and definition is realistic and solid, clear timbre rendition, and the piano is well "organized" and defined in the center. How ironic, played a few songs from that very CD this evening and them young whipper snappers said "who is that"

They seemed to "get on" board for the musical selections. Then again it might have been the goofy drink combinations they were mixing.. Such weird names for these things...
The funny/crazy part was having a discussion about how they listened to music. It was, I use my Ipod this/phone that. I asked, what kind of system do you use at home? What kind of amp/amps? Which I got that old "deer" in the headlights look.. . Thankfully, my 26 year old daughter chimed in saying "Dad" gave me a set of 5jr's, a Yamaha receiver and a CD player "which I got here" along with a sub and it kicks pretty good..
She then followed it up with a "I'll get his SDA's" someday...

Amen on that brother.
I gotta say, it ain't the biggest kicker out there but it still WORKS perfect. Many times I've stopped by the kids place and I can here the tunes on the porch. It still looks the same "never" put on the custom wood panels. She does keep it clean, NEVER a speck of dust on it and always covers it up with a "doiley" when not in use that she got from her Grandmother.
Once again, thanks for the "starter" amp for her... -
