I like George Winston, and this CD, which I have owned probably for 20 years or more, sounds terrific.
During the first track, "Cast Your Fate to the Wind," he plucks the piano strings. The sound is very distinctive, and I recall it from having heard him do it in concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, about ten years ago. He says he does it to augment the bass. Come through beautifully.
Sounds like his piano is in the room with me!
