I listened to this SHM-SACD (The Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request) tonight and I must say, it sounds phenominal! The soundstage is massive in both width and depth, making it extrememly 3-D. The low end hits you in your chest, particularly on 2000 light years from home and 2000 man.
Mick Jagger's vocals sound amazing on The Lantern. Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins definately took his vocal style from Mick's vocals on this song.
If you don't own this one, shame on you. Buy it!
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Man, I need to get some more Stones SACDs. Thinking about it more, Satanics Majesties Request would be the perfect album to have 3-D soundstage and exceptional SQ. Where are you guys picking up your SACDs?

Absolutely the best place to buy SHM-SACD's, SACD's, and CD's in general is from

You cannot beat their prices (for the most part).
The sound quality varies on Their Satanic Majesties Request. Some songs sound better than others, but in general sound very good. I was trying to make the point that this mastering soounds very good and the SHM-SACD format makes it sound the best you can get, IMO. Definately not as good as a Dire Straites or Steely Dan album though.
